Can i join brotherhood of steel

I'm level 19 now and through bad skill point decisions am just getting to the local leader perk where you can establish supply lines. I dont want the last 5 levels worth of skill points to be for nothing! Can someone shed some light on this for me please! Last edited by Tuna Boat Captain ; 27 Nov, am. You can join them and still get the Minutemen ending, but the Minutemen ending is kinda hidden compared to the other endings, all advice I can give you is: - When you have to pick a faction to help infiltrate the Institute, pick the Minutemen and by that I mean Sturges.

If youre only lvl 19 and can already join the BoS, do it, if you want all the shiny things you mentioned in your spoiler tag. No one forces you to continue their quests ; You get a T60b power armor for free thats the secondmost powerful armor, only the x enclave armor is an upgrade to this You can get a lot of fusion cores, because looting most of the containers on the BoS airship is not stealing if youre one of them. You can trade with their quartermaster, selling quite powerful weapons. You can "call for pickup" with one of these BoS faction smoke grenades like the minutemen flare gun, but instead of a few dudes with laser muskets a freakin' vertibird appears, you can man the gatling and control its course by choosing a point on your map - like commanding your dragon in skyrim.

The BoS and Minutemen have no beef with each other so you are good to join up. Well, that's not going to cut it. If you want to join the Brotherhood proper, you've got a few things left to do. The first step is to find the Brotherhood. The first time you log in to Fallout 76 after the launch of " Steel Dawn ," you'll have a quest to listen to a Brotherhood message.

Outside, a Paladin Initiate will tell you to speak with Knight Shin. Shin is just inside -- he's the angry one in the full suit of Power Armor. He's the first step for a hopeful to join the Brotherhood, and he's going to test your mettle with a pretty simple task: do his job for him. There are four petitioners downstairs who have requests for the Brotherhood. Some of them are citizens looking for protection; others are Raiders trying to sneak their way into the Brotherhood's armory.

You don't have to decide on how to handle them, just speak with them. Once you've gotten their stories, you'll return to Shin. From there, you'll make recommendations to Shin as to how you feel the Brotherhood should address the petitions.

Shin is old-school Brotherhood , so he has no interest in petty affairs and will be quick to tell you the Brotherhood should remain distanced from many issues. However, Shin won't necessarily turn you down either -- after all, Paladin Rahmani has expressed a desire to work alongside the people of Appalachia, both good and bad. Shin's really just testing your ability to follow orders. Once you've completed this section of the quest, Shin will grant you access to the interior of the Brotherhood bunker and instruct you to speak with Scribe Valdez to continue your evaluation.

Scribe Valdez is in the interior, plugging away near a computer. She's a lot more approachable than Shin, though she still has one primary goal: preserving old technology.

Valdez's test will be to accompany her into the sub-structure of Fort Atlas to determine what happened to the ATLAS Observatory's previous projects and what technology can be recovered.

It's not an easy quest. You'll collect some documents, discover some chewed up wires and run diagnostics on the damaged equipment. Valdez will quiz you afterward, so make sure you pay attention to what's actually wrong with the sub-section if you want to impress her. Sign In Help Sign Out. Toggle navigation.
