Tell a few stories about how you fell asleep, or somebody else fell asleep, and connect the idea of falling asleep to that same gesture. Then if you fire that same anchor while you suddenly drop in the paragraph of confusion, it will be more effective and powerful.
When most people tell stories, they tell them from beginning to end. They start, they reach a mini climax, and then they are finished. But if you create a bunch of mini-cliffhangers, their brains will be using way to much energy trying to keep track of everything. The basic structure is like this: Story One — Start talking and build up to a mini cliff hanger. Go for at least a minute.
Story Two — Start a completely different story, about a completely different topic and set of characters, and build up to a mini cliffhanger. Middle Story — This is the one with the most ambiguities and commands. In this story, you can be very creative with the type of commands you put in. Instead of just knocking people unconscious with your hypnotic powers, you can install ideas, or even put in post hypnotic suggestions. This is also a very useful technique to deliver commands.
Whenever you put a wizard or a magician or a hypnotist in the middle story, that you are quoting, use the self point SP whenever possible. This way when you say things like dream about money SP or dream about sex SP nobody will be sure what you mean. For one, they are completely confused because you started two stories without finishing them.
Second, the middle story is about some magician you saw at open mic night, and you are quoting that magician and basically delivering those quoted commands to the people you are telling the story to.
On top of that, you are referring to yourself any time you say something good. Then once go back and finish up stories one and two, the middle part will be largely forgotten. This does take plenty of practice. But being able to suddenly slip into hypnosis mode is a powerful skill to have. From experience, Hypnosis against someone's knowledge is sinister. It's a form of manipulation and control. I know good can come from but hypnosis can give people courage to do something they would not normally or never do even if it is something we wanted to do.

The easiest way to get past that is to ask questions. Some people are very self-referential and, like you, question other people's interpretations, motives, comments, facts, etc. So, when you meet such a person, ask for example, "How do you know you want X" or "You know that feeling when you just know you want X", then anchor the feeling and attach it to your product or idea instead of saying "There's a place in your mind that wants this product I actually noticed that the more "logical" a person is, the more he or she is reacting from emotions.
Almost always we feel first and interpret our experience according to those feelings. There's actually a part of the brain that does these rationalisations extremely well.
Some people are just so good at doing this that they think their feelings have no impact on them, just pure logic and rational thinking process. In reality it's seldom so. As for questioning everyone - do you ever question yourself? Did you ever consider that while it's certainly good to question things and making your own conclusions, sometimes other people have much more experience in some fields than you and it's sometimes worth to listen to their ideas instead of rejecting them outright?

That paragraph didn't get me, I was told earlier in my life to question everything, and I still do, so I don't think this can work on me. It sounds kinda prideful, but even if I fully trust someone I still question their comments, facts etc. How would one get past that?
